Lots of fun-sightseeing, robots, and hookah
Yesterday I went op to San Francisco for the day. It was a fun trip. I took the 20 year old in my group with me. We did some neat sightseeing, and also stopped in to take some photos off the road. I will post those later today(hopefully) so anyone can see. It was fun to see the city through the ees of someone who had not been much. We did the Union Square tour, then took the Muni to Haight. I saw another pair of Fluevogs that I wanted, but they were the last pair, and just a little too small. They were orange and funky.
Oh well. I used the money at Kid Robot and Giant Robot. I am sometimes a sucker for collectables. Later, I found a few DVD’s for $10 each: Breakfast at Tiffany’s (audrey Hepburn is SO hot in this movie), Requiem for a Dream(Directors Cut), and 2001, A Space Oddesy (Directors Cut). SCORE!
It didn’t work out with the people I originally had planned to meet with, but we had a great time. I was pretty tired and the timing looked like it was going to be off to meet other trainee’s, so I thought I would end up asleep by 9pm again. (not always a bad thing). Luckily the other group called before I was too settled at the apartment. I could also tell the
other 2 guys really wanted to go out, so I did. I am real glad I did. We met up with some people from New York, and had a blast. It was my first trip to a Hookah bar. I was weary, since I quit smoking years ago, but it wans;t that bad. Avtually real smooth and fruity. (We got mango and watermelon) It didnt have that icky cig taste or make me crave a smoke. The conversation was wonderful. I got to talk music, movies and photography with them. It was also neat to get some input on the new pro software and what would be the best system to get when I do buy.
I like connecting wiht new people. I am really glad I went out. although the majority of them were a bit youunger, I still was able to relate, and if not, joke and relatee with the one who was a lot closer to my age.
Today looks to be a relaxing day. I plan to study, do the dishes, probably head down to the hot tub, and watch some football. (Not very often the Seahawks get this close). I think we are going to the movies tonight, but not sure wat to see…
The sunshine is rolling, even through the clouds..
