Surf, fake sun, and sand…and a rant
So I went surfing for the first time in 10 years the other day. It was fun. I was at a beach party with some friends at Doheny and borrowed a board. I floundered a lot due to the fact that I kayaked the day before and didn’t have any strength left, but ended up catching a couple waves. (Then proceeded to lose my balance almost immediately) It was a blast and the water was so warm, even at 6pm. The previous day I did notice I was SO white, and it may take forever to get a tan. I am not opposed to the color of the skin when tanning, it is more of what it does to it and the burning//sun draining part. A friend clued me in on something that I have tried. Use self tanning lotion, then use 45+ sun-block. Brilliant! This way I can get a tan, save the color of my tattoos, and only be moderately vain. Yes, I am following that advice. Soon I may be able to take my shirt off in public. (Not that I make a habit of it anyway.) It actually helps when I wear flip-flops. That sock tan is real attractive, isn’t it. 
I was introduced to Lilly Allen a couple weeks ago and can’t stop playing it. Check her out! Rocking, and My lead Marco and I agree, the accent is wonderful to hear. (most singers lose the accent when they sing.) It is refreshing to find new music I really dig.

I recently watched the the September 11th conspiracy video Loose Change .While it is not all plausible, in my opinion, it does raise some questions. It is also something that I wouldn’t put past this country’s leaders if they had the means. More and more I am dismayed by the President and his cabinet. I am disturbed by politics in general. Corruption, religions, and big business seem to be making the laws for their own agenda. I hate to say it, but it feels like we are on the verge of another civil war. There is going to be more fighting within our own country, and it could mean the downfall of it. The government will try to suppress those that disagree, and those people will lash out. I really think more people are becoming sick of the way the President and his people think we are sheep. Wake up. We are not walking blindly. Even his closer supporters are starting to distance themselves. I know he strongly believes what he says, but come on, stick with reality. He is in way over his head and to me, just a puppet for Daddy and uncle “Crack-Shot” Cheney. As moral as they speak, they are an axis of evil amongst themselves and terrorists in their own right. Using fear to control is just that, and that is what they love to do. I hope things straighten out sometime soon, and that the next president can reverse some of the damage that has been done worldwide and try to save face for America. Don’t get me wrong, I am proud of where I live and love the freedoms I have, but if this continues, there is a chance it could all end badly. Luckily one of those freedoms is speech. [/RANT]
