Letter Writing Challenge
It has been apparent to me that not a lot of people send handwritten letters anymore. Now in the world of email and texting, I want to bring this back. Don’t get me wrong, I text and email as much as the next person, but it is nice to get a letter in the mail also. Most of the stuff in the mailbox is usually just bills or advertisements. You know that feeling you get when you receive a letter in the mail? it is nice, isn’t it?
Almost 2 years ago I sent an email out asking for friends mailing addresses so I could start this campaign, but it faltered for whatever reason. (if you sent me your address then, you are in the first batch coming up)
Here is my challenge, write a letter to someone once a month. (my personal challenge is once a week.)
If you see something in the newspaper or a magazine that reminds you of someone, put a little note on it and send it to that person. Taking a little time to get out of ones self and brightening the day someone can go a long way.
Even better if you can do it on something you recycle. That paper bag can make the envelope and the letter with just a little ingenuity. (I will show you how soon)
