Ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future
With the addition of my wife, and my brother getting married and adopting a kid, this year is a lot different than the past. Organizing time and when we do what with the family is now different. In the past we would open gifts with the immediate family at my parents house right after the annual Mader Christmas Eve party. (37 years and counting) This would usually go till after midnight. Now with Faith, Dave’s step-daughter, in the picture, we cant be up that late.
So today, after Grandma’s, we will do the family thing at my parents. It is a little different. As the family gets bigger, then things are going to change. It is a welcome change, but I get nostalgic at this time of the year.
