Burning out
[rant]
I love my job most of the time, but I really don’t want to work retail hours anymore. This job has been good to me, and got me out of the field I was in and into a technical role, but I need more.
I have become complacent but need to hit the tech books and take on challenging projects to learn and move from the IT generalist that I am to a speciality. I wold like to get into project development and management. I have the base skills for it. I just need to do it.
Anyone have any suggestions or words of wisdom?

Well, my group at Nokia / Mountain View has several openings for hyperintelligent IT-knowledgeable people. You could even work from home, probably.
What ever decisons you make now in the future you will always have my love and support on the choices you make. One of the best choices when you married Katie and brought her into our family.
I love her because she has made you so happy as a person and the love she gives to you. And now I have another niece to spoil. It is ironic that I say things about Katie and today his her birthday and I Love Her and most of all being part of our family.
