I am forty but I feel like I am fourteen again. I need to wear a night guard on my teeth so I don’t grind my fillings off or my teeth down. It feels like I am wearing a retainer, which, in a way, I am. I posted about getting it fitted a couple weeks ago, and now I have been wearing it a couple weeks.
It still feels weird, but I think it is helping. I may have a little TMJ and hopefully this and stretching/ relaxing will help to ease it.
It is pretty funny when I talk with it in. I get a lisp and Katie likes to make fun of me.
Oh the joys of getting old.

I’ve got one of those, too. I cracked two molars, so I believed my dentist. Haven’t broken anything since getting it, though sometimes I do have problems in the mornings.
I enjoy hearing people talk when they have lisps! It makes me happy. My mom recently had her braces taken off, but her retainer still gives her a lisp, too. Yey!
Also, this reminds me that I should probably invest in one of those stop-snoring mouth devices. Maybe one for me, and the mister. How embarrassingly charming…
