I don’t care if you were promised your bonuses regardless of your companies performance. In lieu of the bonuses, maybe you should have offered to take less the bailout money the government gave you so that money could be better used somewhere else. Being a “Bonus” it shouldn’t affect your budget. (But since you helped create the economic meltdown, I am guessing you aren’t very good with managing money)
Do I get a bailout and a bonus for mismanaging my money? No. Do I pay the price? Yes. So should you. Even more for mismanaging other peoples money.
You have some fucking nerve to even accept the bonuses. Did you think no one would find out? Another reason we need to reform our economy and hold those in power accountable.
Do I sound bitter? Good!

Hmmmm…back in 2000 I was told I was getting a $10,000 bonus because my students made tremendous growth on their state tests. Yes, the state of California had growth goals and if our students met a certain criteria, we were to receive a specified bonus. Did I ever see a penny of that? NO!! Did I depend on it? No, it was a bonus, extra, not my regular pay. Did I want it? YES!! Was I promised $10,000? Yes. Did the state decide to stop paying bonuses to some teachers, due to lack of funds, after they had already paid some? Yes. Oh well, I was told. We sucked it up for the greater good. I’m so glad Arnold has since fixed the problems of Davis’ administration – HA!
I love both of your comments!! I just hope when we all retire there is enough money in SS that we can have it and not use it for the bailout(s).
