A fine line between Comedy and Blasphemy

Yes, as the title says, I love root beer. Something about the sweetness, bite, and cold refreshment do it or me. Not all root beers are created equal. A lot of the big consumer brands are toned down for the masses. I am not the masses. Every so often when I partake in mass produced root beer like Barq’s or A&W, I get that perfect sip that reminds me of the old root beer barrel candies. That is the root beer flavor I crave. Recently I was told about the Old Town Rootbeer Company in Old Town Temecula. Today Katie and I took a drive out there so I could get a sampling of Root Beers form different brewers. Over the next couple weeks I will be rating these and share it with my readers.

This is just a small sampling of over 2000 types that are out there. I am always looking for recommendations.

Yesterday we were at Disneyland yesterday and it was crazy insane with people. While trying to navigate through the crowds, we took shortcuts through the Disneyana shop where we ran into Jimmy, A castmember I know. Here is where the brainfart came in. While looking at some new pieces of art, and trying to introduce Katie to Jimmy, I blu“rt out:

Thats when the horror stepped in. I don’t know where it came from. Katie says the look on my face was priceless. Needless to say I felt like a heel (still). The only ”Kathy’s“ I know are my cousin, my aunt,, and my Godchildren’s mother. I honestly don’t know where it came from. I think I was thinking of multiple things (sensory overload) and I blended multiple thoughts. I am so blessed I have such a wonderful and understanding girlfriend. (Although I fully deserve the shit she is allowed to give me for a long time)

I think I have a portable music device problem.

Yes, all but one of those are mine, and synching to my new MacMini Media server.

We have another problem in the house. The kitten now can jump up to the counters. We keep the counters pretty clean, but my big worry is her attempting it while we are cooking. Funny thing is that Vex won’t, or maybe just can’t. She wants to though.

Stuffed. Tonight I grilled filet mignon on the BabyQ and deep fried home cut steak fries in the wok. To go with the fries I made a special mix of ketchup,mayo and a little mustard. It was delish! The filet was perfect! I love it when the food comes together. I got a great program for my mac called A Cooks Book that I can store, import and export recipes. We have an older notebook that we can use in the kitchen if we need.

I love it when I get a lot of projects done. I rerouted a lots of cables in the house and cleaned things up. I created a charging station for my iPods. (out of the reach of the cats). I also got some yard-work done today. I love being productive.

Katie cleaned the catbox.

(she asked me what I was doing as I am writing this. I told her I was writing about how productive we were and she said she didn’t do much. I reminded her that she did that, and she asked if I put that so i did so it would be a true we were productive entry.
