Recently I received my order from LUSH for Katie and I. In the past I have just picked up stuff while in San Francisco. This time I ordered online because “taking a tub” has become a relaxation ritual for the both of us. I really like the LUSH products and wanted to expand into the facial cleansing products and such because of their natural ingredients. The only problem is I wanted to make sure that I liked the scents. The way we dealt with this was to take a trop up to Santa Monica to the local LUSH store. I love roadtrips with Katie. When she doesn’t sleep (The car does that to her) we talk and have lots of fun. After donating our recycling at the OCC Recycling Center, we headed up the 405. Where Katie is from they call it the expressway. She doesn’t get the term Freeway or Highway. I like to tease her about the regional differences, as she does me. We are both kinda ‘tarded that way. The Third Street Promenade is just like most outdoor malls. It was neat to walk around and see people filming a movie, getting coffee, and even the “Homeless on bikes” mini parade. (It was a group of people that had custom bikes that included garbage bags of stuff and lots of mismatched parts. We got to take in all the products, and picked up a few so now we no what to order online next time. Luckily at this time the wind hadn’t picked up so we walked around for a bit and then stopped at Barney’s Beanery to eat. (We were both getting grumpy) After the food, we decided to head back home before traffic picked up. Katie got a new phone yesterday and I was a bit jealous. It was a RAZR like mine, but a step up. I am waiting for the iPhone in June, but after seeing her phone I couldn’t wait any longer. The RAZR has come a long way in a year. This one has so many more features than my old one and a better camera. I used to not care about the camera, but I really use it a lot. It is great for posting things to my blog, as you can see.
It wasn’t the best sports year for my teams. The Kings sucked pretty bad this year in Hockey. Oh well, their turn will come again soon. The Seahawks made the playoffs, but not by much. My soccer teams are not faring too well, but it doesn’t look like the will be suffering relegation. Nascar just started up and it is Playoff Hockey. I love this time of year. Something about the Stanley Cup. The Ducks just might do it this year.

OMG, LOST was amazing last night. Lots of little things. Especially the end flashback. Not going o go too much into it right now, but I really enjoyed the episode. I cant wait fro HEROES to be back on. Next week I believe

Ever heard the phrase “Never had it so good”? Everyday lately seems to bring reality to that statement.

Well, the bath has really relaxed me, time to watch CSI and off to bed.

A couple hours ago Hockey season officially started! So excited. Right now is sports overload time for me. Hockey (Kings Rule!) and American football(Go Seahawks!) are getting started, the English Premiership Football league (Go Manchester City and Newcastle United) is in full swing, and The NASCAR Chase for the Cup is winding down. (Go Denny Hamelin/FedEx Racing!).

Exciting time for TV also! LOST and Southpark both season premier tonight! Reviews later. Heroes is one of my favorite shows now. I was hooked after the first show. I have that belief that those things can happen. Even if they can’t, it is a good escape.

Just over being sick. I was down for over a week and unable to get out and do what I planned. Luckily I got invited to go golfing tomorrow at a great course.

The quality problems are also here, need to decide which car to buy. It was between the Scion tC, Scion xB, and the Honda Civic Coupe. It is looking more like the xB. I know it is a toaster on wheels. It is just quirky enough that it fits me. I think I am going to get the rag-top version. It is pretty cool. It is nice being able to get this and pay off the bills. I will still have plenty in the retirement fund to continue growing but it will make things much easier now.

Life is good.

New Fall TV shows, Nascar, Talladega Nights, Photos et al

I am excited for the fall programming. Scrubs starts tonight, The Amazing Race starts in 2 weeks and LOST is on Oct 4th. I love the DVR. I can watch shows I used to not be home for. Interesting side note on Scrubs. I just found out that Sarah Chalke, who plays Elliot on the show, was “Becky” on Roseanne. I know she looked familiar, and I have been watching the show for a couple years now but just found that out.

I went and saw Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby last night with a couple co-workers. It was hilarious. Being a NASCAR fan made it even better. I think I got a few more of the jokes compared to the average viewer. There was one downfall. Not with the movies, but with the kids behind me. Someone decided to bring four 8 year-olds who insisted on talking through most of the movie. Even the guardian was being loud. I just don’t get people sometimes. It was definitely not made for kids that young.

I had that overwhelming feeling of joy again the other day. I realized how much I enjoy going to work and the people I work with. Yes, it has it’s tough moments, but I get to grow and learn from them every day. It has helped other relationships also. I really like helping people and solving problems, and I get to do that every day. Also I work with people that have a great warped sense of humor.

I got a new photo workflow program and it is great for making adjustments to my pictures.

I love it after Labor day. Things seem to rejuvenate. The new shows are on, Hockey starts on October 4th. Their first game is versus the Ducks in Anaheim. Looks like I need to get that day off work (KINGS RULE!) A little Football. (GO Seahawks!) and the NASCAR Chase for the Cup. Plus it gets cooler, and I can break out the sweaters and jackets soon. (Yes I know, it doesn’t get THAT cold in Southern California, but its relative.)

Rad episode. I love when some of the answers create new questions, it makes the story progress. I just hope it doesn’t get so too spread out that they can’t wrap it up when she series does end. . I would love to see the organizational chart for the story lines. I was right that the magnetic force had something to do with the plane crash. I may have been off about them drugging themselves, but I do think they are all still part of a psychological experiment. All of them have some sort of weird trauma in their life and some connection to Hanso or Widmore. I wonder if now that Desmond “terminated” the magnetic source, I wonder if people’s ailments will come back. (Rose’s cancer, Locke unable to walk if he is still alive)
I think Penny Widmore knew that her dad had something to with Desmonds disappearance. Like she said, she has lots of money, and knew what to look for.

Hockey and LOST and the Amazing Race

The Ducks are on fire. It looks as if my early predictions may be completely off. Ottawa and Edmonton are not looking good. At least Edmonton has won at least one game. It could be a all California Conference final. That would be interesting and probably a lot of people traveling the 5 to go to games in both cities. No matter what happens, I love the Stanley cup playoffs. There is nothing like it. Many good memories of where the series could change at any second.

On to LOST. Amazing shit last night. I think Michael is being blackmailed. It sucks for Hurley. Had me crying when he was saying “Why did I have to forget the blankets” I really like Eko and Locke. they are a great compliment for each other. The big experiment is getting more and more intriguing. It is almost as if they are caught in a time warp and also experiments themselves. All of the passengers seem to have some sort of trauma that would bring them together. Station “Pearl” is intriguing, although I would have done more exploring, and I am sure we will see more connections and maybe a way to the real “?”. I need to rewatch it again and look at some things a bit closer. Like the readout and the “Orientation Video” Same guy, different name. Such a retro-future feeling all around Dharma. I just can’t shake the time-warp lab rat feeling I get about the story line. I love the journey of figuring it out and others theories. I do think it is neat that the directors also only know half of the storylines as to not give it all away. I have been listening to “The Official Lost Podcast” and it is fun how they try to bribe each other with background that has not been revealed. A great show.
I do love the tie-ins with www.thehansofoundation.org and other sites with the storyline. If you read “About the MHA” under “Mental Health Appeal” section of the “Active Projects” it confirms a lot of my theory of why they are there and how they are part of an experiment. More puzzles to confuse and figure out. It will also be a way they can keep interest over the summer until next season.

As for the Amazing race, I am so glad that MOJO are gone and very happy for “the Hippies” It will be a tough finish. All teams have a good chance. While not the strongest all around, the Hippies are my faves and I think they will surprise the others.

I didn’t sleep well last night. Feeling a little anxious. After work I am taking a train to San Diego to see someone that I like like. It is a scary feeling. Keeping expectations at bay and living in the now is not always easy. FInding the balance is always the key, but there are moments of uncertainty where faith has to step in. Deep in my soul I know things are going to be wonderful. The path ahead is lit, and there are many options. but today is what counts.

My connection with people has been great. It may be my perception also. I just seem a lot more willing to let people into places that I might not have before. Either that or it is the faith within and the freedom that honesty brings, no what the outcome may be. Just being true and not trying to manipulate what I think should be the goal is nice. I really am not to concerned with the goal. I am more concerned with the journey, because that is now. It is not like I don’t have certain goals or places I would like to be, cause that would be stupid. without some goals, there is nothing to journey too. I just like the path.

As for LOST, how rocking was that last episode. I had a gut feeling about Michael, but didn’t expect it to be that hardcore. I think that took a lot of people by surprise. I just watched it Friday night, and haven’t really discussed it with others. Henry is pretty manipulative, and it will be interesting to see how the next few weeks play out.

Good Hockey- The Ducks are looking strong. Lets see if they peaked at the right time. That Ottawa/Buffalo game was insane. Thats the hockey that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Stuck in the Lovesac on Wednesday nights

Now that The Amazing Race has been moved to Wed. it ha become my favorite TV night. I watch that at 8, Lost at 9, and Southpark at 10.

Speaking of LOST, last night was great. I love Hurley’s character. Between his story last night and part of Henry’s comments, it really enforces my theory. They are all part of an mental experiment. The others included. “The Button,” when pushed, self-medicates all involved in the actual reality, wherever that may be. SO far everyone involved has had some sort of psychological trauma or disorder. Some to extremes. Why wouldn’t they be involved in an experiment? And the food? possibly it is laced with something? Maybe also laced with clonazepam? Anyone else think it’s funny that Libby has been saying that she is a Clinical Psychologist, but showed up as a patient in the end? And Hurley had said he had met her before.
(on a side note, I think that Cynthia Watros, who plays Libby, is beautiful)

As for The Amazing Race, I really like the hippie guys. they are always in a great mood.

Grandpa’s wake is today up north. My thoughts are with them. We are doing the graveside service tomorrow down here. I know that will be the tough day. I need to get up and hit the meeting in the morning and get grounded before that.
