New Years Resolutions

It is that time of year when everyone makes their new years resolutions.

“I am going to go to the gym”
“I am going to stop smoking”
I will try to eat less sugar”
etc…

And it seems for the most part by February they have forgotten it or justified why they are not doing it.

For my new years resolution, I am going with the same one I have had for the last 15 years. And I HAVE KEPT IT!!!

My resolution for 2008 is to not go on a 37 state killing spree.

Now a 36 state one is ok, but 37, that is stepping over the line.

In all seriousness, I don’t get the once a year resolution thing. I believe that every day that I wake up, I need to make a resolution to be a better person. Be that person I always wanted to be and help others to do the same. I should try to treat others with honesty, compassion, and respect. If I fall short, then I learn where I can do better and try to improve on in the future.

I hope everyone has a wonderful 2008!

Bright and early

I woke up this morning and headed down to the beach to meet with the group. I am so glad I did. It totally rejuvenated me and got me back into the groove. You ever go somewhere and know you belong? I did that today. Then I wonder why I kept away so long. What was I afraid of? The ego is a funny thing. Thats why I need to remember its not about me. (it’s all about the cats, so they think.) I ran into an old customer of mine. All those years and he didn’t know I was sober. Now that he is sober, he does. :)
The greatest gift I get is to be of service.

Are you ready for some Wrong Shaped Ball?

I guess today is the start of the season. As I was heading to the gym tons of people were walking to Fox Sports Grill. I expect for a day of american football, beer and more beer.
I don’t watch football too much except for the big games, but am a die hard Seattle Seahawks fan.
Katie likes Green Bay. BOO :-P
