New Fall TV shows, Nascar, Talladega Nights, Photos et al

I am excited for the fall programming. Scrubs starts tonight, The Amazing Race starts in 2 weeks and LOST is on Oct 4th. I love the DVR. I can watch shows I used to not be home for. Interesting side note on Scrubs. I just found out that Sarah Chalke, who plays Elliot on the show, was “Becky” on Roseanne. I know she looked familiar, and I have been watching the show for a couple years now but just found that out.

I went and saw Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby last night with a couple co-workers. It was hilarious. Being a NASCAR fan made it even better. I think I got a few more of the jokes compared to the average viewer. There was one downfall. Not with the movies, but with the kids behind me. Someone decided to bring four 8 year-olds who insisted on talking through most of the movie. Even the guardian was being loud. I just don’t get people sometimes. It was definitely not made for kids that young.

I had that overwhelming feeling of joy again the other day. I realized how much I enjoy going to work and the people I work with. Yes, it has it’s tough moments, but I get to grow and learn from them every day. It has helped other relationships also. I really like helping people and solving problems, and I get to do that every day. Also I work with people that have a great warped sense of humor.

I got a new photo workflow program and it is great for making adjustments to my pictures.

I love it after Labor day. Things seem to rejuvenate. The new shows are on, Hockey starts on October 4th. Their first game is versus the Ducks in Anaheim. Looks like I need to get that day off work :D (KINGS RULE!) A little Football. (GO Seahawks!) and the NASCAR Chase for the Cup. Plus it gets cooler, and I can break out the sweaters and jackets soon. (Yes I know, it doesn’t get THAT cold in Southern California, but its relative.)

Coinkydinks?

It is funny how people are put into your life when you decide to show up. :D I have had some amazing experiences with people the last few days whether it be relating experiences of the spirit, or passions of life. Just this morning I was able to talk with someone who I have known for a long time, and in passing, found out that photography is a passion/ occupation of theirs now. He showed me some of his shots and gave me inspiration for some future goals. On top of that we have a common spiritual basis which is a bonus. It also looks as if I will be able to help him out with my area of expertise also. While it may not be a coincidence, it is a reminder that there are always opportunities if one just keeps their eyes and ears open.

Ok, so I am also hooked on VH1′s “World Series of Pop Culture” and “Hogan Knows Best”. A little guilty pleasure there.. I know most of the answers to the pop culture questions, but there are a few that I get stumped on, so it does make it a challenge. I would like to try out for this the next time they do this. I just need to get a couple other geeks to be on the team also. As for Hogan, there is something about watching “the Hulkster” be dad and husband, etc… Maybe it is growing up with him and watching wrestling that has made some kind of weird interest bond. As weird as it seams, I have respect for him and the values he carries. Kinda weird, but I am hooked on both shows.

Game 7

So exciting! tied up. I love watching it. The intensity is amazing. Win: get a chance to play at least 4 more and maybe the cup, lose: Season is done. I have to be somewhere and can’t watch the end, but will win I get home. Love the DVR. I am rooting for Carolina, but the way they both are playing either will be a worthy opponent for Edmonton.
